I apologize for my very late updates, but we have been quite busy the past month! I attended the 2013 USA Sieger Show on May 9-12 in Lake Geneva, WI. Two of my dogs were entered: Wiva vom Drache Feld in 24+ Open Class and Xochi von Tajgetosz in 4-6 month Baby Puppy class. Both girls did a super job, and I am so very happy with their placings. Xochi showed on Friday, May 10th on a cold and windy day. There were 25 showlines entered in the class, and Xochi was the only working line pup. Judge Rainer Mast immediately moved Xochi to the back of the class as the pups started moving in the ring. I anticipated that we would be moved to the rear of the class, but was a little disappointed that Xochi was placed so far back. For her age, Xochi is very dry and firm, with correct movement, heavy bone with good muscle development, and a substantial presence. Xochi was very animated and vocal in the ring. My good friend Randy Brent had the patience of a saint when handling my demon puppy! I was very proud of my Xochi girl when Herr Mast announced that ALL pups in the ring would achieve a VP rating including my plucky little working line gal! It's not everyday that a working line achieves the top rating at a Sieger show, but Xochi was able to pull through and presented her lines well at a National event! I am very happy to announce: VP (USA) Xochi von Tajgetosz Wiva showed on Sat, May 11th on a very rainy and cold day. The show was organized slightly differently and all dogs showing were presented during a stand for exam prior to showing in their respective classes. Wiva was handled for her stand for exam by the exceptional handler Martin Möller, and I sincerely thank him for his help. Wiva did an excellent job during the stand for exam and handled well in the ring. Wiva showed in a competitive class and gave it her all during the show. Judge Mast did a thorough examination of all dogs presented and all dogs in the class did an excellent job. I was so proud to see my Wiva girl place SG4 at the show. This is Wiva's highest placing to date at a National event. SG4 (USA) Wiva vom Drache Feld Wiva earned an excellent critique from Herr Mast: Large, powerful female. High withers, dry and firm, good front and rear angulation, very powerful front and rear drive, straight front, shoulder could be more open, croup is slightly sloped and short, needs darker mask for more expression. We had a GREAT time at the show, met up with old friends, and made some great new ones! I can't wait for the next one and thanks to everyone for their support :) |
