Bloat and gastric torsion can occur in dogs - especially certain breeds like the German Shepherd, Great Dane, and Labrador Retriever. Bloat is clinically referred to as Gastric dilatation-volvulus - it is an acute, life-threatening situation. GDV requires immediate medical and surgical attention.
Please be aware of the symptoms so you can quickly take your dog to the vet if he or she is in distress
